Glitched In Audacity

This project is called “Glitch Art Poster” and its purpose is to distort images without editing them in photoshop. In this project, I had to make a minimum of three different posters using glitch techniques in an audio editing application called “Audacity”. First, I have to create an original image using the AI imagery in photoshop. After creating the original image, I needed to glitch that image in Audacity.
I tried to glitch images as differently as the original copy. I glitched some of the images by making some parts upside down, by making some images change colors, or by making some images look blurry. Then, I needed to add in a text that ties the theme together with the images. I chose to have my text not glitched because I wanted it to be the message of my poster. Finally, after the image and text is created, the last step is to print out the poster in a paper that’s no smaller than eight by eight inches.
My text is “escapism” because I wanted to portray that as you dive deeper into your escapism, the more distorted you become. I wanted the posters to mimic a phone screen because I think that, especially in recent years, people use their phone as a distraction to escape or avoid realities they do not want to face.
